Safety Information
Last updated: June 5, 2026
SautiSafe is a safety-support tool. It helps users notify trusted contacts, share location, record evidence, and coordinate responses. It cannot guarantee rescue, police dispatch, or message delivery.
Before Use
- Add at least three trusted emergency contacts.
- Tell each contact what a SautiSafe alert means and what action you expect.
- Run a test alert with your contacts before relying on the app.
- Enable location permission, microphone permission where needed, and notifications when available.
During Danger
If you can safely contact local emergency services directly, do so. Use SautiSafe as an added layer for trusted-contact coordination and evidence preservation.
Nearby Community Responders
- Nearby responder bubbles are anonymous and show only approved, opted-in responders within the configured radius.
- Responders receive an exact pin only after accepting an active SOS invitation and confirming safety guidance.
- Responders should not go alone, should not confront a suspected attacker, and should coordinate with trusted adults, emergency services, or partner organizations.
Voice Trigger Privacy
The voice trigger should work on the device and should not stream ordinary conversations to SautiSafe. Recording should be visible to the user and limited to intentional evidence or emergency workflows.
Known Limitations
- SMS and internet alerts can fail during outages, carrier blocking, low balance, or provider incidents.
- Location accuracy depends on the phone, GPS signal, user permissions, and network conditions.
- Browser and Android restrictions may limit background microphone or background location behavior.
- Contacts may miss alerts if phones are off, muted, out of coverage, or not opted into the selected channel.
